Membership
Auditions will be conducted each spring and fall. Audition dates and times will be posted under the Auditions tab on this website, or you can contact one of the NTCC directors for an audition time. Those singers who have auditioned and received an excelled score in raw ability and general music theory knowledge will be invited in to the North Texas Children's Chorale as new members. Those new membership postings will either be announced on this website within 2 weeks of the audition completion, or in person by the director.
A parent meeting for both new and returning parents will take place on the NTCC campus (Calvary Lutheran Church, 7620 Baker Blvd, Richland Hills, TX) in September. Singer and Parent Contracts will be reviewed at the meeting and signed before membership is finalized. The contents of the contracts are summarized in the NTCC Guidelines below. Tuition
Tuition for each Singing Season -which follows the traditional school year calendar- will be $37.50 per month/$325.00 for the entire season. Tuition covers Kick-off Day Camp, 30 directed rehearsals, 2 live performances, live accompaniment (pianist) for every rehearsal and performance, any instrumental accompaniment (i.e. strings, brass, live band, percussion etc.) required for dress rehearsals and performances, one folder and all music literature per singing season. Choral Uniform, recorded files, cds, videos, group portraits and Tours are separate. Chorale membership tuition is due in full by September 30th annually
-Registration fee of 25.00 is waved for those who pay tuition total by October 31st
-All full scholarship recipients must pay a one time fee of 25.00 for registration cost
Voice Lessons
Voice lessons which are offered through the NTCC Faculty will be available for NTCC members only. Lessons are not required for general Chorale members but are highly encouraged to support our rehearsal work, individual vocal accuracy and confidence, and to improve music theory literacy. The North Texas Children's Chorale Voice Faculty will offer schedule openings every September and January and will maintain a waiting list once the schedules are full. Lessons will take place on the NTCC campus. Each lesson will be 25 minutes in length and the cost will be $20 for Senior Voice Instructor lessons. Partner lessons will include no more than 2 singers per lesson and the lesson cost will be shared (half of the standard private lesson cost).
Scholarships
Full and partial Scholarships are available for annual tuition and uniform needs. See our link below for the Economic Hardship Application. Please fill out a separate application for each singer in the family that needs a scholarship. Tuition scholarships awards will partnered with parent/guardian volunteer hours and student assistant work/study hours. Economic Hardship Applications are due in August of each year and must be submitted every year that the singer needs to be considered. Scholarship awards will be announced individually in September, before the new singing season begins.
Uniforms
Uniforms must be purchased or acquired by October 15 of each year and will be checked by the Uniform Parent Volunteers at the closest scheduled rehearsal date following that date. The North Texas Children's Chorale group photo shoot will usually take place in October or November each year - members will be notified.
-New Formal Concert Attire for 2019-2020 season! NTCC accepts uniform payment under payment tab of 50.00 and we measure and order it for every member.
NTCC Young Ladies Dress will be burgundy and floor length. Concert 1 singers will add a pearl necklace
NTCC Young Men attire will be a Tuxedo (minus jacket). Concert 1 singers will add a vest.
Sing offs
Chorale members will sing off their concert music two weeks prior to each projected performance date. If the member fails the acceptable performance-ready test score, then those members will be required to attend extra rehearsals in order to perform.
Tour
Every Chorale Season Tour Cost will be announced in September and the Chorale will conduct one product-based fundraiser per year and one participation-based fundraiser per year (Skate-a-thon). Both fundraisers will be designated for Tour destination transportation purposes such as bus charters and/or flights.
